Sony is bringing the luxury edition of its Vaio laptops called Red Edition to the US market. The limited edition laptops, which sport a shiny Ferrari-red finish, were so far available only in Japan and European markets.
The collection includes Sony's models like Fit 15, Pro 13 and Duo 13 slider.
The colour of all the models in this assemblage is same, however, Sony has changed the painting process and pigment combinations depending on whether the machine is made of carbon fiber, aluminum or some other material.
Each model in the collection has specs depending on the laptop series it belongs to, say Fit laptop series or a Pro-series Ultrabooks.
There are also some specs which are common across the series like Core i7 processors and fullHD (1920x1080p) screens.
The Fit series laptops come with 12GB of RAM (8GB in smaller versions), a 2GBGPU, Blu-ray drive and 256GBSSD. The Duo and Pro series come with SSD drives. The Vaio Pro 13 is reported to be the lightest 13.3-inch Ultrabook in the market with a touchscreen
As for the pricing, Fit 15 is priced at $2,000; Pro 13 is available for $2,600 and the Duo 13 for $3,000.
