Some recent rumours point towards Apple working on a large iPad-like device, however, many analysts believe that these speculations could possibly mean either a hybrid device or a more conventional product.

Market researchers have been trying to figure out what exactly the widely-speculated 13-inch 'iPad Pro' would appear like.

According to Cnet, a source with connections in the Asian supply chain said that there is an 'internal debate' going within the source's company as to whether the new product is targeted at the notebook line or iPad line.

In January, market research firm IHS had said that it is uncertain as to how real the speculations of the so-called iPad Pro are. The company's director of tablet and monitor research Rhoda Alexander reportedly said that some manufacturers over the last six months have received sample quantities of a larger panel. And that various sizes are being reported with 12.85 inches being one of them.

Analysts believe that Samsung's 12.2-inch Galaxy Tab Pro, which was unveiled at CES, may be a reason strong enough for Apple to be working on an hybrid device. The South Korean company is also marketing a business-friendly tablet with a keyboard and mouse.

The Cnet report also says that along with rumours about larger-sized tablets and detachables, Apple may also be working on a more conventional 12-inch MacBook.
