Microsoft has increased the free online storage it provides with OneDrive and Office 365 by more than double and reduced the prices of its cloud offerings with the two products.

OneDrive users will now get 15GB of free storage, up7GB that Microsoft earlier offered. This is the same amount of storage that Google users get when they sign up for an account.

The company has also brought down the prices of cloud storage by 70%. The 100GB and 200GB OneDrive storage plans can now be purchased for a monthly price of $1.99 (earlier $7.49) and $3.99 (earlier $11.49), respectively.

Microsoft has also cut Office 365 subscription rates, reducing the prices of 1TB Home and Personal plans to $9.99 and $6.99 per month respectively. The 1TB Office 365 plan now costs $79.99 for four years.

The new prices will roll outJuly for new customers as well as existing users.
