New Delhi: The much-awaited Nokia 3310 is slated to launch on May 18 in India with an estimated price tag of Rs 3,310, following the model number.
HMD Global, which sells smartphones and feature phones under the Nokia brand said in a statement, "The Nokia 3310 will be available across top mobile stores in India starting May 18, 2017... will retail at a recommended best buy price of Rs 3,310".
The Finnish firm has exclusive license to design and sell Nokia branded phones globally, and also use technologies developed by Nokia corporation.
The dual sim phone features a 2.4-inch display and is equipped with a 1200 mAh battery that promises around 22 hours of talk time. The rear camera is a 2MP shooter with LED flash. Internal storage is limited to 16 MB and external storage can be expanded up to 32 GB.
The Nokia 3310 has Bluetooth and USB connectivity. The feature phone will be available in four colours- warm red and yellow, both with a gloss finish, and dark blue and grey, both with a matte finish, HMD said.
The original Nokia 3310, known for its 'sturdiness' was the most widely used feature phone globally during 2000-05. It is estimated to have sold 126 million units globally when there were only a few countries with mobile networks, the report added.
