Following the acquisition deal of Flipkart, Walmart has announced new job listings on LinkedIn. The retail giant is hiring professionals various backgrounds for its India operations.
The job listings suggest that the US retail giant is hiring professionals various backgroundsengineering, computer science, finance, and communication. Walmart’s CEO Doug McMillon said that India is an e-commerce growth market. The company is hoping to expand in large scale in the country.
The brand aims to expand in large scale and have at least 50 stores in five years. More investment would mean more jobs. Walmart’s LinkedIn page has following listings of job vacancies at Walmart in India.
Senior Systems Engineer
The company is expecting to hire an individual with strong experience in Salesforce configuration. The candidate must have experience with the Lightning. He should have some level of experience in Git, Agile Boards (JIRA or BitBucket). Walmart would hire some 3+ years of demonstrable experience in administrating a Salesforce environment. The ideal candidate would be someone with familiarity with CI/CD tools, force.com migration tools, autorabit or GearSet. A candidate with familiarity with Salesforce DX.
Data Scientist
The data science professional needs to be able to work on code that improves operations of the company. Walmart wants to hire an individual that is capable of building state-of-the-art algorithms to improve distributed systems engineering to build systems that drive efficiencies in logistics and supply chain. An ideal candidate would be someone with deep knowledge of computational complexity theory, capable of code time and space efficient algorithms with good scalability. The proficiency with at least one of the object-oriented languages (Python, C++, Java) is the must.
Data Science professional with some experience of building operations research, machine learning algorithms is an ideal candidate for the role. Ability to independently conduct surveys and implementing cutting-edge algorithms in an engineering environment will guarantee the job.
Associate Manager - Finance
The core finance related role requires the person to work with business finance teams the US. The candidate will need to participate in month-close calls and review meetings with finance teams. The associate manager will be responsible to perform headcount reconciliation, analyzing variance on expenses and perform forecast updates. The candidate who can make sound judgments will be ideal for the job role. Walmart expects the candidate to proactively lead volunteer activities, initiatives, and programs to improve the community of customers.
