Samsung launches Galaxy Tab4 10.1, 8.0 and 7.0

After a series of leaks, Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy Tab4 range of tablets, which will come in three screen sizes - 10.1-, 8- and 7-inch. All three devices run on Android 4.4 (KitKat) and will be available globally from second quarter of 2014.

The three tablets - named Galaxy Tab4 10.1, 8.0 and 7.0 - have display resolution of 1280x800p and are powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1.5GB RAM. They can connect to the internet over 2G, 3G, 4G and Wi-Fi networks and transfer data via microUSB 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.0. Each of them has a 3MP camera on the back and 1.3MP camera in front.

Both Galaxy Tab4 10.1 and 8.0 have 16GB internal storage and supports microSD cards up to 64GB. While the former has a 6,800mAh battery, the latter has battery capacity of 4,450mAh.

Samsung Galaxy Tab4 7.0 comes with 8 and 16GB internal storage options. The 3G + Wi-Fi variant of the tablet supports 32GB microSD cards, while the 4G + Wi-Fi model can accommodate microSD cards with capacity up to 64GB.

The Galaxy Tab4 range will replace the Galaxy Tab 3 line of tablets from Samsung's portfolio and will be positioned the Galaxy Note series.
