Eligibility Criteria for CEH Exam

Candidates attempting the EC-Council CEH exam (who do not attend training) should have minimum two years of work experience in the Information Security domain. Before taking the exam, these CEH applicants must be able to get this experience validated by providing the name of their boss, supervisor and the department in the organization(s) they have worked for.

It typically takes anywhere between 5-10 business days for the CEH application to be processed and the approved application is valid for a period of 3 months only. To take the CEH exam, you need to find the nearest ECC Exam Centre.

CEH Course Duration

The suggested course duration for CEH v10 is 8 hours x 5 days = 40 hours

CEH Passing Score

You need to answer at least 88 questions out of the 125 multiple choice questions to score the passing percentage of 70 percent. Time given for attempting these 125 MCQs is 4 hours.

CEH Validity

The validity of the CEH certification is only three years.

Average Salary of CEH

As per PayScale, the average salary of an Ethical Hacker in the role of a Security Analyst is INR 440,269 whereas an Information Security Manager can get INR 1,335,799. The job prospects for Cybersecurity professionals in India are quite bright and it is expected that the Indian IT industry will employ 15,000 cybersecurity experts in 2018.
